Training Tempered programs are designed and coached by David Amato, CSCS.
David coaches triathletes competing in Sprint, Olympic, Half-Ironman
(70.3) and Ironman distance events. David’s personal triathlon history
includes competing in all distances including Ironman USA in Lake Placid,
NY in 2001 where he had a top 10 swim split of 50:59.

3-Hour Triathlon Workout
On designated days, Coach David conducts a triathlon workout consisting
of an hour swim, an hour indoor bike and an hour outdoor run. There will
be different workouts from session to session. This workout can accommodate
a variety of ability levels. All athletes will have the opportunity to
work at an intensity level that rivals that of an Olympic distance race.
On-Line Coaching
Training Tempered offers 3 levels of programs. The levels are based on the
frequency of communication with Coach David. This works very well for the
motivated athlete who seeks to interact regularly with a coach.
Swimming Technique Clinics
The best way to improve your swimming starts by understanding proper stroke
technique. This 3-hour program comprises a classroom lecture, dry-swim,
instruction in the water, videotaping and analysis.
In the classroom lecture, you will hear a clear description of the freestyle stroke technique along with a visual display.
The dry-swim segment bridges the gap between what you hear in the lecture and stroke patterns that you will physically perform in the water.
Swimmers will then enter the water for a progressive instruction phase.
Swimmers will be videotaped and at the conclusion of the program and will sit down with Coach David for their video analysis.

One-on-One Private Session
You can meet one-on-one with Coach David. This is the most intensive
learning situation where you will receive 100% individual attention, focus
and feedback.
10-Week Program
This program is for athletes who are seeking a sports specific exercise
program consisting of all the components that will progress them to a higher
level of fitness. This program is supported by email interaction of 1 x
per week.
